What type of drugs are in Manipur?
The usage of opium is engrained in the customs and traditions of the Manipuri society since raw opium and ganja were used as medicine or painkiller during childbirth or for religious purposes in ancient times. In addition, alcohol too is used in various social functions though it has been banned since 1991.
