A Glimpse of the Indigenous Tribes of Manipur (Part I)

Manipur is a multi-ethnic state located at the easternmost part of India. It has a total population of 28, 55,794 according to 2011 Census of India covering an area of 22,327 square kilometres. Out of this, 58.9% represents the valley population and 41.1% represents the population of the hills. In this blog, we shall discuss 10 out of the total 33 tribes of Manipur and follow up with a series of two more blogs studying the remaining tribes. Read the blog and learn more about each tribe.

Rediscovering Thoubal District
