CHIEF MINISTER-GI HAKSHELGI TENGBANG

Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) is a pioneering health assurance scheme initiated by the Government of Manipur. The Scheme will provide Cashless treatment to the poor at the Empanelled Network of Hospitals and cover up to Rs. 2 Lakhs per eligible family per year to the enrolled beneficiary.

PradhanMantri Street Vendor AatmanirbharNidhi: A Helping Hand for the street vendors

The PM-SVANidhi is a Central Sector Scheme launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on 1st June 2020 to provide affordable working capital loans up to 10,000 rupees with a 1-year tenancy to street vendors to resume their livelihoods that have been affected due to Covid-19 lockdown. The loan will be repaid in monthly installments and no collateral will be taken by the lending institutions.

Ningol Chakouba - The festival of family reunion that signifies rich cultural heritage of Manipur

Ningol Chakouba is one of the popularly celebrated festivals in the state which falls on the second lunar day of the Manipuri calendar’s Hiyangei month. Ningol means ‘married woman’ and Chakouba means ‘invitation for feast’; so the festival is the one where the married women are invited to their parents’ home for a feast. The invitation comes from the son(s) of the parental family of the ningols, generally a week in advance; it strengthens the bond of affections among the brothers and sisters, daughters and parents of a family.

Plastic products which were once our saviour are now becoming our own biggest threat. The accumulation of plastic products in the Earth’s environment affecting the living organisms dwelling on the surface of the Earth is termed as plastic pollution and it has become one of the most concerning pollution in the world today. It can afflict land, waterways, oceans, and air when burnt in the open air. From the beginning of plastic production in the 1950s up to 2018, an estimated 6.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced worldwide, of which an estimated 9% has been recycled and another 12% has been incinerated. As of 2018, about 380 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide every year. India alone produces about 25,940 tons of plastic and more than 97,000 tons of solid waste per day. Earlier this year, on World Environment Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the world to fight plastic pollution and other environmental pollution.

School Fagathansi Is Encouraging Students To Attend School

Education plays a huge role in shaping up the best of any nation’s future. No nation can grow or develop when the quality of the education system of the nation is poor. As an initiative to improve the condition of Government schools of the State for overall development in shaping future pillars of the society, Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N. Biren Singh launched School Fagathansi Mission (Go To School)under Go To Village Mission on 18 January 2019 at Yumnam Huidrom High School, Wangoi in Imphal West District. After the huge success run of Government missions such ‘Go To Village’ and ‘Go To Hills’, Go To School aims to give renewed thrust towards the improvement of Government schools both in terms of physical and manpower infrastructure. On 31 May 2019, an order was issued for implementation of the mission in one school each in all the 60 Assembly constituencies of the State.
