22-year-old Puren is the youngest of 4 siblings in a village called Wangoo in Manipur. He became popular when he started posting videos of his farm and talking about the process of farming to his followers on social media platforms. He was always fond of farming, he said, but he got lost in the web of mobile games. However, he has found a renewed love for farming and after he finished Class 12, he joined his parents on his farm full time and started working. With his videos, he wants to inspire people of the state, especially the youths like himself, to start working on productive things such as farming and become self-reliant instead of wasting time or waiting for government jobs.
