आर्द्रभूमि के राज्यवार वितरण से पता चलता है कि लक्षद्वीप में 96.12% भौगोलिक क्षेत्र आर्द्रभूमि के अंतर्गत आता है, इसके बाद अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह (18.52%), दमन और दीव (18.46%) और गुजरात (17.56%) में आर्द्रभूमि का सबसे अधिक विस्तार है।
