वृक्षारोपण का सामान्य एवं विशेष सभी का अर्थ है- वृक्ष लगाकर उन्हें उगाना । जिससे प्रकृति का सन्तुलन बना रहे । वन-सम्पदा के रूप में प्रकृति से हमें जो कुछ भी प्राप्त होता आ रहा है, वह नियमपूर्वक हमेशा आगे भी प्राप्त होता रहे ताकि हमारे समाज-जीवन का सन्तुलन बना रहे । मानव सृष्टि का सर्वश्रेष्ट प्राणी है ।
