Who demanded the abolition of the Manipur state durbar?
In the year 1934, Nikhil Manipuri Mahsabha was established by Hijam Irabot with the then Maharajah Churachand Singh as President. By 1938 it had become a prominent political front advocating the democratization of the powers held by the Durbar and an overhaul of the corrupt colonial administration.
