Can bamboo withstand rain?
Bamboo has a natural silica layer that protects it from rainwater but of course, because it is a natural material, it is apt to deterioration over time. This layer may cause adhesion problems with sealers and stains so before you seal it, either wait until the waxy layer has deteriorated or sand it off yourself.
